Lead Custodian (Night)
for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. However we must only include sections when posting has real specific content. We need to map content to these headings appropriately.
We have:
- Who We Are: description of UC Irvine and Student Center & Event Services. Could be "About the role"? Actually "About the role" is more about the job. But we have "Your Role on the Team" which describes duties. That could be "Responsibilities". Also "Required What It Takes to be Successful" is requirements/qualifications/skills. "Preferred" is additional qualifications. "Special Conditions" maybe schedule? Actually schedule is given: "Schedule: Monday-Friday from 6:30pm-3:00am". Also "Special Conditions Must accept a 5 day workweek that may include weekends, and include occasional overtime assignments. Workweek and times are subject to change." So schedule and shift details.
- Pay: "The expected pay rate for this position is $31.25". So we have Pay.
- Benefits: "Total Rewards In addition to the salary range listed below, we offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding. These benefits may include medical insurance, sick and vacation time, retirement savings plans, and access to a number of discounts and perks." So Benefits.
- Conditions Of Employment: list of conditions (background check, etc.) Could be "Qualifications"? Actually that's more like requirements. But we already have Requirements. Conditions of employment could be separate but not in the prescribed headings list. The headings list includes About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can combine some.
We need to avoid repeating job title as heading. No Job ID.
We must not include boilerplate like EEO, legal, etc. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. So we should omit the "Closing Statement" (EEO) and "Consideration for Work Authorization Sponsorship" maybe considered boilerplate? It's about work authorization, but it's a condition. Might be considered part of Conditions of Employment. But we can include it under Requirements? However the instruction says remove EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. The work authorization statement is not exactly EEO but could be considered legal. Safer to omit.
We also need to omit duplicated lines.
We need to preserve ALL substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep all details from the posting except boilerplate.
Thus we need to extract substantive content:
- Who We Are: description of UC Irvine, Student Center & Event Services. This is about the organization, not the role. Could be placed under "About the role"? Actually "About the role" is about the job, but we could treat it as "About the role" describing the team/department. The instruction says use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can use those headings as appropriate. We need to decide which sections to include based on content.
We have content for:
- About the role: maybe we can put the description of the department and role overview: "Under the direction and supervision of the Custodial Services Manager the Lead Custodian performs various skilled and semi-skilled custodial duties at the UC Irvine's Student Center and its satellite facilities. Operates a large variety of cleaning equipment and ensures all areas are clean in accordance to department and university standards. Assists with setting up and dismantling of furniture and special equipment. Responsible for the security of area and possession of master keys. Serve as work leader for custodians and senior custodians, and will direct custodial employees in the absence of the Environmental Services Manager." That's from "Your Role on the Team". That seems like responsibilities.
- Responsibilities: we could list duties as bullet list.
- Requirements/Qualifications/Skills: we have many bullet items under "Required What It Takes to be Successful". Also "Preferred Experience in specialist janitorial operations.High school education or equivalent certification preferred." Also "Driver's License Required to hold a valid drivers license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program." Also "Special Conditions Must accept a 5 day workweek that may include weekends, and include occasional overtime assignments. Schedule and shift assignment determined by management. Workweek and times are subject to change." That's schedule.
- Pay: "$31.25"
- Benefits: list of benefits.
- Schedule: we have schedule details.
We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We must not create sections with placeholder text.
Thus we can output sections: About the role (maybe a brief paragraph summarizing the role), Responsibilities (ul), Requirements (ul), Qualifications (maybe combine with Requirements?), Skills (ul), Benefits (ul), Pay (p), Schedule (p). But we need to avoid duplication.
Better to follow the headings list but only include those with substantive content.
Let's map:
- About the role: Could be a paragraph describing the role overview: "Under the direction and supervision of the Custodial Services Manager the Lead Custodian performs various skilled and semi-skilled custodial duties at the UC Irvine's Student Center and its satellite facilities." That's from Your Role on the Team. Could be used.
- Responsibilities: list of duties: operates cleaning equipment, ensures cleanliness, assists with setting up/dismantling furniture, responsible for security and master keys, serve as work leader, direct custodial employees in absence of manager, etc. Also maybe "Assists with setting up and dismantling of furniture and special equipment." Also "Serve as work leader for custodians and senior custodians, and will direct custodial employees in the absence of the Environmental Services Manager." Also maybe "Ability to lead small work groups." etc. But those are more requirements.
We need to ensure we preserve all substantive info. So we need to include all bullet points from Required, Preferred, Driver's License, Special Conditions, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
We must not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep each item as is, maybe as list items.
Thus we can create sections:
