About the role
The Lead CT Technologist is responsible for directing the activities of CT Technologists on the assigned shift. This position models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
Responsibilities
- Provides Practice Excellence through assessment, care, evaluation and education to patients and families in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains and promotes compliance with all regulatory requirements, reimbursement standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility.
- Provides Leadership Excellence in the clinical practice area.
- Collaborates with technical staff in organizing daily workflow and patient care.
- Demonstrates a commitment to Learning Excellence through professional development and clinical expertise.
- Demonstrates Role Clarity through professional competence, expertise, and knowledge, and supports the radiology profession through role modeling and fostering an environment of growth and learning.

Requirements
- Education/Formal Training Requirements: Required - Technical Degree or Diploma Radiology
- Work Experience Requirements: Required - CT Tech 1-3 years
- Licenses And Certifications Requirements: Required - Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Required - Registered Radiologic Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Required - BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Demonstrated technical knowledge used to guide/lead others and carry out more complex assignments.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to exercise independent judgment in decision making for resolving new or unusual problems related to the general or technical aspects of the job.
Knowledge of the physical and operational characteristics of imaging equipment.
Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred).
- Ability to collect and analyze data.
