About the role
Performs and supervises modality daily operations and provides leadership relative to the assigned area. This position requires 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions. Promotes and advocates imaging services by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technology and equipment. Ensures accreditation standards are maintained and performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of CT equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Performs and supervises daily operations of the CT modality and provides leadership for the assigned area.
- Delivers 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions.
- Promotes and advocates imaging services by staying current with the latest technology and equipment changes.
- Ensures compliance with accreditation standards.
- Operates CT equipment and other related devices as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited hospital-based training program.
- 3 years of technical experience.
- Experience in leadership of personnel (preferred).
Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with certification in computed tomography (CT) (required upon hire).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS) (required upon hire).
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) (required upon hire).
