Lead Cost Controller - Life Science Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Cost Controller / Change Control looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer and maintain cost control system and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value
• Aid in the preparation and review of cost estimates
• Provide cost information to support decision and alternative selection
• Evaluate and analyze fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision making
• Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis
• Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position
• Aid in the development, validation and maintenance of the project schedule
• Aid in developing reporting tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value
• Build intricate spreadsheets to enable fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets
• Extract data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs
• Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and create a clean audit trail
• *SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Cost Control experience within construction
• A recognized university degree in Construction Management or related field
