About the role

The Lead Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. This position will oversee others and report to management. To drive a delivery vehicle for the purpose of delivering prepared foods from the production kitchen to various sites, following a predetermined schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Clock in and out for workday and during breaks
  • Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
  • Utilize food preparation procedures per applicable federal, state, and local guidelines
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking and prep techniques as required by work assignment
  • Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items as directed by production sheets and/or LC, SC, or Executive Chef
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment, following ISS/Guckenheimer and government regulatory rules
  • Notify management of ingredient discrepancies, food/equipment safety issues, or other situations requiring attention
  • Attend all meetings of the day
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid state driver's license
  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Clean and safe DMV driving record
  • Ability to work safely with large volume culinary equipment (slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, chopper)

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of cooking and prep techniques
  • Ability to execute NetMenu recipe preparation
  • Ability to clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
  • Ability to follow food safety, HACCP, and SOP guidelines
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, reach, bend, stoop, push/pull, and use team lift or transportation carts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Ability to adhere to HSEQ policies and procedures

Benefits

Pay

$23 per hour – $24 per hour

Schedule

Monday – Friday plus weekends, 11:00 pm – 7:30 am
