Lead Cook, Holiday Inn

About the role

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a seasonal Cook to join our team at Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone, Montana. The Cook will prepare food to comply with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures, storage, and packaging. Duties also include keeping workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked; performing opening, closing, and side work duties; and conducting end-of-day inventory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to meet portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures, storage, and packaging
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and conduct end-of-day inventory

Requirements

• At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house foodservice position
• Able to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
• Basic math skills for calculating and following recipe measurements

Qualifications

• No high school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
• Standing and walking for the entire shift in moderate to high noise levels
• Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
• Exposed to variable temperatures
