Responsibilities
- Cook in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and execution of food orders.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to meet production goals and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Aid in training new kitchen associates.
- Supervise and mentor cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Create innovative new menu items and specials.
- Skillfully prepare hot and cold foods that meet Montage's high standards.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of food products, sanitation standards, and culinary techniques to execute dishes at the highest level.
- Fulfill guest orders in a timely manner with skillful attention to detail.
- Work in a collaborative environment, maintaining professionalism and delivering on guests' expectations.
- Create WOW moments for guests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Requirements
- Three years minimum of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel environment.
- Luxury hotel experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi-regular basis.
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F).
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a luxury hotel environment.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
