About the role
The Territory Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced Lead Cook to join their culinary team. This is a hands-on position for a skilled and dependable cook who can lead by example, maintain high standards during service, and help train and develop other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and club quality expectations.
- Lead daily kitchen service and help coordinate workflow among kitchen staff.
- Work grill, salad, fry, prep, and banquet stations as needed.
- Train and mentor cooks and kitchen staff on recipes, procedures, and plating standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen work areas.
- Follow and enforce food safety and sanitation standards.
- Communicate inventory shortages, equipment concerns, and operational needs to management.
- Auxiliary support for club events, tournaments, and private functions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of grill, salad, fry, and banquet cooking.
- Ability to train and motivate team members.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain prior to employment.
