About the role

The Lead Controls & Firmware Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex control systems and firmware for our cutting-edge products. This role requires a deep understanding of embedded systems, programming languages like C/C++, and experience with hardware design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop firmware for embedded systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
• Contribute to the development of new product features and improvements
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in firmware and control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in firmware development and embedded systems
• Experience with C/C++ programming and hardware design tools such as Proteus or Multisim
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to embedded systems and firmware development

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality firmware and control system solutions
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontrollers like ARM Cortex-M series
• Understanding of power electronics and motor control principles
