Hybrid-based position based in one of the Northeast Atlantic offices: Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Portland, ME; Princeton, NJ; or Westford, MA office. About the role

Join our Environment & Health team and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future. As our new Lead Consultant, Air Quality Professional, you will be part of our interdisciplinary air and climate team located in the Northeast, serving clients nationally in the U.S. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assist Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry-level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate air emissions and conduct engineering evaluations of air pollution sources.
  • Prepare air quality permit applications and supporting technical documentation.
  • Contribute technical expertise to complex projects, proposals, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct site visits to industrial facilities to understand operations, gather data, and inform evaluations.
  • Review and interpret environmental regulations and provide occasional compliance support in other program areas.

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or a related science discipline; air quality coursework preferred
  • 6+ years of air quality-related experience
  • Strong spreadsheet, word processing, and general computing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations to real-world situations

Pay

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $107,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation.
