Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and price commercial lines business while supporting the performance and profitability of the portfolio.
- Work closely with distribution partners and agency relationships, applying underwriting judgment and market awareness to support thoughtful growth within your assigned authority.
- Evaluate, select, and price new and renewal business in alignment with underwriting standards and authority.
- Partner with Distribution to support territory production and profitability.
- Travel to key agency partner relationships, participate in virtual meetings, and attend industry events as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Professional designations such as AU or CPCU preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto and Workers Compensation.
- Strong understanding of underwriting practices, risk assessment, and policy structures.
- Familiarity with insurance policy language and coverage forms.
- Solid understanding of working with data to support underwriting decisions.
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and accountability.
Pay
Salary Range $60,000.00-$125,000.00 USD. In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good-faith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote / 3 in-office. Predictable hours (no nights, weekends, or holidays).
