Lead Commercial Installer (The Bay Area, CA)
About the role
The Lead Commercial Installer position is a key role within the company, reporting directly to the Production Manager but working closely with Project Managers on a daily basis. This role involves installing and pulling wire, installing and wiring equipment, testing systems, maintaining safety protocols, managing paperwork, overseeing apprentices, and ensuring all jobs are completed within estimates.
Responsibilities
- Installs and pulls wire as per specifications
- Installs and wires equipment used in systems
- Tests all equipment after termination is made to ensure performance of system
- Works in compliance with the Company's safety manual with safety of self and others in mind at all times
- Maintains Install Van and Van Stock
- Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs
- Daily logbook is kept up to date with customer requests, worked performed each day, job numbers, dates and times and tasks assigned to apprentice's
- Trains apprentices on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques
- Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic
- Basic computer skills
Qualifications
- Certificate of Technical Specialist (CTS) preferred
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills

The pay range for this position is $50.00-$67.00/hr, depending on background and experience.

Schedule
Daily travel by vehicle to various job sites in the bay area required.
