Lead Commercial Installer

About the role

The lead Installer reports directly to the Production Manager but works closely with Project Managers on a daily basis. Responsibilities include installation, startup, and closeout of all jobs, assisting with project design, and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Installs and pulls wire as per specifications
  • Installs and wires equipment used in systems
  • Tests all equipment after termination is made to ensure system performance
  • Works in compliance with the Company's safety manual
  • Maintains Install Van and Van Stock
  • Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements, and job status
  • Keeps daily logbook updated with customer requests, tasks performed, job numbers, dates, and times
  • Fills out timecards accurately in Q360
  • Trains apprentices on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques
  • Ensures all work is performed to Company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced
  • Runs jobs within each phase's estimate (e.g., wire pull, mounting)
  • Collaborates with Systems Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily basis
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic
  • Basic computer skills

Pay

$43.50 - $48.00/hr depending on background and experience.
