Lead Cloud Platform Architect / AWS / Python

About the role

This client creates a SaaS platform that supports life science and pharmaceutical companies. They are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Architect to build and support AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Help shape cloud architecture
• Develop infrastructure using tools like Python and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Build reliable CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Guide technical decisions across the organization, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and built to handle large volumes of complex data

Requirements

• 7 + years of experience in Cloud/DevOps Engineering
• 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role
• Experience designing and building systems in AWS environments
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with data platforms, data pipelines, or data-intensive applications
• Experience with API’s, microservices, and cloud-native architecture
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Strong experience managing CICD systems, preferably with GitHub Actions
• Experience working with scientific data, life sciences, or lab systems (ELN, LIMS)
• Experience supporting AI/ML or data platforms
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
