Lead Clinician - Nurse Practitioner - Physician Assistant - Certified Nurse Midwife opportunity

About the role

This role is a Lead Clinician position for a licensed Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife at First Avenue Family Planning Health Center. The role involves managing other health center clinicians, collaborating with other healthcare providers, physicians, and management on patient care and clinical improvements, and partnering with a case management team.

Responsibilities

• Manage other health center clinicians to ensure the provision of high quality, cost effective medical care and excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with other Healthcare providers, Physicians, and Management on patient care and clinical improvements.
• Partner with a Case Management team, which will communicate with patients on lab results, referrals, and other aspects of patient care.
• Gain new skills such as IUC retrievals, Nexplanon insertions, Cryotherapy, Bartholin Cyst I&D, and prescribe GAHT (Gender Affirming Hormone therapy).
• Receive a rigorous training and on-boarding program similar to a fellowship.

Requirements

• Hold an active California license as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or a Certified Nurse Midwife.
• Have more than 1 year of healthcare experience as NP, CNM, or PA.
• Have previous leadership experience.
• Eager to work in an environment that supports the agency’s commitment to equity and belonging.

$152,880 - $199,800 a year
