Lead Cleaner

About the Role

A Cleaning Lead at Velociti Services is responsible for leading a team of cleaners to ensure all work areas meet Velociti Services and client standards. The role involves being responsive to clients' inquiries and specific requests, communicating cleaning requirements to the team, and maintaining high service quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all cleaning staff, focusing on performance, cleanliness standards, and behavior while on duty.
• Ensure a best-in-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the worksite or building.
• Review work schedules and monitor all cleaning activities.
• Keep track of inventory, order cleaning materials/supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all staff are aware of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Quickly resolve disputes between staff and provide training to new employees.
• Fill in for general cleaning tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management to resolve complaints and conflicts.
• Discipline and reward employees as appropriate.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and conduct worksite inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning environment.
• Previous experience managing a team.
• Ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to process negative feedback and remain professional.
• Strong time management, including organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and change directions easily.
• Kindness, concern for others, and a team-player attitude with a positive demeanor.
• Attention to detail and passion for customer service.
• Accountability, dependability, integrity, and professionalism.
• High School Graduate or higher preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and MVR required.

Physical Requirements

• Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments.
• Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
