Lead Childcare Teacher

The Growing Years of Clayton is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers for the Preschool age group.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a completed associate's or bachelor's degree with at least 12 credits of early childhood education or their equivalent
• Previous childcare experience (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides
• Implement lesson plans and curriculum weekly, covering all areas of child development, and follow the classroom schedule/daily routine
• Use the parent communication app efficiently
• Establish professional rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child, respond to their emotional needs, and maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child
• Conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during November and May
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities relating to the care of the children

Schedule

Monday - Friday, full-time

Pay

$16-$19 per hour, based on education and experience
