Lead Childcare Teacher

About This Role

Chroma Early Learning Academy in Grayson, GA is seeking a qualified Lead Childcare Teacher to work with Mixed / All Ages in a center-based environment. This position requires an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Assistant Teacher in the day-to-day care of the children in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Support the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families.
• Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A CDA, TCC, or Paraprofessional certificate is required.
• The candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
• The candidate must be able to pass a background check.
• The candidate must have current CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• The candidate must meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• The candidate must have a passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
• The candidate must be reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
