Job Summary
Performs non-invasive clinical support services under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider. Assists with patient care, performs blood collection procedures, prepares specimens, operates laboratory equipment, and completes clerical and administrative duties.
Job Requirements
- Education And Work Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent: Required
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification/experience: Preferred
- Phlebotomy certification: Preferred
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training (or CHDP certificate): Preferred
Essential Functions
- Prepares exam rooms and assists with patient intake.
- Obtains and records vital signs, reporting significant findings to the healthcare provider.
- Performs venipuncture and specimen collection as ordered.
- Prepares and handles laboratory specimens according to established procedures.
- Performs audiometry and vision testing.
- Maintains patient records, recall systems, referrals, and continuity of care documentation.
- Aids in the operation of laboratory and clinical equipment.
- Provides training and technical guidance to staff as needed.
- Performs clerical and administrative duties to support clinic operations.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Organizational Requirements
- Associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
- Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
- Participation in E-Verify is required.
