Lead Certification Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead all regulatory certification activities for McIntosh products, including safety and environmental compliance
• Develop and execute certification strategies and test plans in collaboration with internal teams
• Interface with certification bodies, test laboratories, and regulatory agencies
• Review and approve test reports, risk assessments, and technical documentation for submissions
• Maintain knowledge of applicable standards to ensure early compliance in design stages
• Serve as the internal expert for regulatory design guidance and pre-compliance testing
• Cook up coordination with compliance and legal staff on adherence to environmental regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• 7-10 years of experience in product compliance, testing, or certification engineering
• Experience with audio, consumer electronics, or RF products
• Knowledge of international safety and EMC standards and certification processes
• Ability to interpret technical standards and communicate requirements effectively
• Experience working with third-party test labs and regulatory agencies
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
