Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and executing department productivity by directing the workflow of a crew of approximately twenty individuals.

• Direct a crew of approximately 20 people.
• Interpret blueprints and read survey stakes to establish appropriate grades.
• Motivate crew members to increase productivity and meet work goals.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with electrical codes, and adherence to safety regulations.
• Visually inspect equipment and devices for any damages and report to the Supervisor immediately.
• Check structural drawings for proper set‑up and revisions.
• Report part shortages, equipment problems, shelter problems, and tool problems to the Senior Supervisor immediately.
• Assist with the fabrication of concrete beams, columns, and panels; build wooden molds and clamp them using appropriate hand tools.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training in vocational schools or related on‑the‑job experience preferred.
• Considerable knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in concrete construction and maintenance.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
• Skill in the use and care of hand and small power tools associated with the work.
• Must be able to work efficiently without supervision.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, handling materials).
• Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends.
• Position requires manual dexterity, arm‑hand steadiness, and a safety‑minded attitude.
• Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise.
• Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods and to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
