Position Summary
The Lead Carpenter / Foreman / Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations for residential construction projects from start to finish. This individual will manage subcontractors, coordinate schedules, ensure quality workmanship, maintain jobsite safety, and communicate effectively with homeowners, vendors, and internal leadership.Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise residential construction projects including custom builds, renovations, additions, and smaller projects
- Lead on-site crews and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Perform carpentry work and hands-on tasks as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Cook up materials, deliveries, and jobsite logistics
- Ensure quality control and attention to detail throughout each phase of construction
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Communicate project progress, updates, and any issues to ownership and clients
- Troubleshoot field challenges and implement effective solutions
- Conduct punch list completion and final walkthroughs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential construction experience, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong carpentry background with knowledge of framing, trim, finish work, and remodeling practices
- Experience managing custom homes, additions, and renovations preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and understand construction drawings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Professional demeanor with strong customer-facing skills
