Lead Caregiver - Pendleton

About the Role

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts, including fill-ins, new clients, and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches' service areas.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday: 8AM to 6PM
• Thursday - Monday: 9AM - 7PM

Pay

$21.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year of experience in home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smartphone with the ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• Washington only: Current valid CEs if you are an HCA

Additional Information

• Washington only: If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program (due to state requirements). You can complete the training while working and will have 120 days to finish it.
• Oregon only: If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will need to complete it along with the nurse-led medication training before working with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings.
