What You’ll Do
Provide compassionate, professional care to older adults in their homes.
- Aid with personal care, mobility, transfers, companionship, meals, and daily routines.
- Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, chronic conditions, and end-of-life care needs.
- Help with new client starts to create a smooth and positive care experience.
- Step in for urgent or last-minute shift coverage to help prevent gaps in care.
- Review care plans and visit notes to understand each client’s needs and preferences.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, office staff, and other caregivers.
- Provide support, guidance, and encouragement to other caregivers when needed.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional caregiving experience, non-family, OR active CNA, HHA, LPN/LVN, or RN credential.
- Experience with personal care, transfers, dementia care, and end-of-life support.
- Calm, confident, and professional approach in changing or challenging care situations.
- Strong communication skills with clients, families, office staff, and fellow caregivers.
- Comfortable using a smartphone app for scheduling and care documentation.
- Basic English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Schedule, Travel & Requirements
- Must be available for 60 hours per week to qualify for guaranteed 40 full-time hours.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 60 minutes to client homes.
- Ability to accept shifts on short notice when needed.
- Comfortable working in homes with pets or smoking environments.
- Must meet physical requirements of the role, including assisting with mobility, transfers, and personal care.
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and required assessments.
Pay & Benefits
- Starting at $20/hr, depending on experience.
- $800/week before taxes at 40 hours per week.
- Weekly pay, overtime eligibility, mileage reimbursement between client visits.
