Lead Care Manager

About the role
As a Lead Caregiver, you serve as the shift leader, ensuring exceptional, consistent resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team. You are both a working caregiver and a frontline leader modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
- Provide hands-on ADL support when needed
- Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
- Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
- Support onboarding and mentor new team members
- Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses. The eligibility to receive such a bonus will depend on the employee’s position, plan/program offered by Sunrise at the time, and required performance pursuant to the plan/program. Some benefits have eligibility requirements.
Pay
Pay Range: $15.20 - $19.05
