Lead, Business Risk Management (BISO)

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the Security Team and departments
• Communicate security risks effectively to departments
• Ensure operational effectiveness of key security controls
• Provide security tools, resources, and training to teams

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of security risk and internal audit experience, preferably in financial services
• Deep knowledge of security principles, risk management, and compliance regulations
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects with multiple stakeholders
• Experience with security frameworks at departmental and enterprise levels
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient relationship-building abilities
• Analytical mindset with adaptability to change

Skills

• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CISA
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001/27002

Pay

$225,000 – $300,000 annually
