Lead Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and check daily operating logs for air conditioning, fan units, graph charts, utility meters, and general complaints.
• Ensure efficient handling of building systems and tenant service requests at the most economical cost.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and RFP process for budgeted projects.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of operating procedures and proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in building/property maintenance or engineering experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems, and other building mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).
• Flexibility to be on-call for after-hours/weekend emergency requests.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communications skills.

Skills

• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of work order and preventative maintenance software systems.
• Holding any necessary/required licenses based on building and jurisdictional requirements.

Benefits

Colliers offers competitive compensation and benefits. The approximate compensation range for this role is $44.67/hour to $48.07/hour. Please note that the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas and only direct applications from qualified individuals will be considered.
