Lead Bridge Engineer / Senior Project Manager
Job Summary
TYLin is seeking a Lead Bridge Engineer to join their Bridge Sector in the Northeast Sector based in New Jersey. This role involves participating in a wide range of exciting projects both regionally, nationally, and internationally. Key responsibilities include developing bridge and structure designs, managing projects, and overseeing design processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures.
- Experience with long-span bridges is an asset.
- Advanced structural engineering and analysis capabilities, including seismic analysis.
- Design of concrete and steel bridge structures.
- Develop designs, contract plans and specifications.
- Cook up CAD production activities for drawing production.
- Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs.
- Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications.
- Develop engineering studies, reports and documentation.
- Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers.
- Other assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineering License (PE) in New Jersey.
- A license in New York and/or Pennsylvania will be a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 10+ years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures.
- Project management experience is also required.
- Experience delivering NJTA/NJDOT projects will be preferred.
- Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs.
- Experience in CSI Bridge is a plus.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT and NJTA design and standards preferred.
- Proficient in leading technical aspects of bridge projects, writing reports, preparing drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.

The base compensation range for this position is $153,600 - $230,400 annually.
