About the role
The Lead Benefits Partner at Envestnet designs, implements, and manages competitive benefits programs that support business objectives and enhance the employee experience. This role partners with People & Culture leadership, Finance, and external vendors to ensure programs are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of health, wellness, retirement, and ancillary benefits programs aligned to business strategy and employee needs.
- Serve as project lead for complex, cross-functional benefits initiatives, including annual open enrollment and enterprise-wide programs.
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefit plan design based on market trends, benchmarking data, financial considerations, and employee feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including oversight of required filings and audits.
- Lead analysis and reporting of benefits data to inform strategy, planning, and decision-making.
- Partner with People & Culture leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align benefits programs with business and workforce strategies.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure third-party providers deliver services aligned to quality, cost, and performance expectations.
- Develop and deliver employee communications and education strategies to drive understanding and engagement.
- Research and resolve complex benefits issues, providing guidance to leadership, managers, and employees.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry trends to proactively evolve benefits strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, design, or total rewards.
- Experience leading complex benefits programs or projects with strategic and financial impact.
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Prominent ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Nice-to-haves include:
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), CEBS, or similar credential.
- Experience supporting global or multi-location benefits programs.
- Background in vendor management and contract support.
- Familiarity with HRIS/benefits platforms and systems integrations.
- Experience developing employee communications and engagement strategies.
