Lead Bank Teller

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and outgoing Lead Teller to join our Maple Grove team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a key liaison between our customers and the bank, ensuring exceptional service across all channels. You will also partner closely with the Retail Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, maintain tight compliance standards, and mentor our teller team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Manage daily cash operations, including vault and ATM management, supply oversight, and drawer balancing.
• Customer Service Leadership: Lead by example in providing top-tier customer support. Master all teller duties to seamlessly assist customers and resolve complex inquiries with patience and professionalism.
• Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements (AML, CTRs, fraud prevention). Execute timely internal control audits and enforce security operating procedures.
• Team Training & Development: Identify training needs, facilitate ongoing education, and mentor teller staff to boost confidence and performance.
• Sales & Community Engagement: Identify customer needs to make strategic product/service referrals. Represent the bank at community volunteer events.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Bank Teller (Required).
• Skills: Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, strong financial math, and proficiency with financial software/technology.
• Attributes: High integrity, strong people skills, a flexible mindset, and a proactive approach to selling to customer needs.
