Lead, Bakery- Warehouse- 1st Shift

About the role

The Warehouse Lead oversees the production area, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and legal standards. Key responsibilities include monitoring equipment and material handlers, verifying packaging code dates, and assisting with inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, and legal standards.
• Monitor and ensure correct code dates on packaging before shipping.
• Assist with raw materials and packaging inventory control.
• Handle material loading and unloading duties.
• Conduct inspections of areas such as the warehouse, racking, forklifts, and dock lifts.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory controls.
• Process SAP functions, including inventory subcontracting and receiving goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor and/or Bakery Director.
• Ensure employees adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or food environments, with 1 year of leadership experience.
• Ability to read, write, and complete legible documentation.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing repetitive motions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery production or ingredient handling.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and food-safety protocols.

Pay

$25 – $27 per hour, with final determination based on various factors including location, shift, education, skill, and experience.
