Lead AWS Cloud Security Architect (Senior Specialist - Architecture)

About the role

Lead the design and governance of a multi-account AWS environment, including AWS Organizations, landing zones, security labs, and an Isolated Recovery Environment (IRE) with cross-account backup orchestration, WORM vaults, and a Clean Room forensic environment. Establish Amazon EKS baselines and lab environments for security testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AWS Security Agent cloud infrastructure.
  • Build a Security Lab foundation with centralized logging (CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs, Config), OU structure, SCPs, and automated account vending.
  • Architect the IRE Clean Room, including WORM vault locking, cross-account/region backup, 321 CMKs, CyberArk break-glass access, Macie integration, Network Firewall, Transit Gateway route isolation, and recovery orchestration.
  • Design Backup Audit Manager compliance framework and Route 53 DNS isolation.
  • Develop hardened compute baselines and secrets management.
  • Author the IRE Clean Room Architecture Design Document and Security Lab Architecture Document.
  • Contribute to lab operations guides and account vending admin procedures.
  • Design and implement Amazon EKS infrastructure, configuration, and security lab environments.

Qualifications

Substantive experience in AWS multi-account architecture, security governance, and recovery environments is required. Skills in EKS, centralized logging, SCPs, and forensic environments are essential.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $MIN to $MAX (specific range not provided). Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, performance, and internal equity. Additional forms of compensation, such as annual performance-based bonuses or sales incentives, may be offered.
