Lead Automotive Technician

TGK Automotive Specialists has been serving clients with honesty and integrity since 2007, maintaining the highest level of repair and service at a fair price while prioritizing client satisfaction. Our Master/Lead Auto Technicians diagnose and repair customer vehicles efficiently, adhering to MAP guidelines, dealership standards, and manufacturer specifications. Lead technicians also mentor team members to foster skill development.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles according to certifications and experience.
• Perform work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Execute complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including Store Managers, Service Consultants, and customers.
• Recommend necessary services to maintain the customer’s vehicle; document all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the direct supervisor.
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications may substitute for experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to work 5 days per week, including weekends.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Exposure to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous/non-hazardous materials.
• Work environment temperature varies and may include extreme heat or cold depending on ambient conditions.
• Safety goggles or other PPE may be required.
• Physical requirements include:
  • Standing up to eight hours per day in the shop and walking to access various areas.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching regularly; full range of motion in arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Frequent handling or fingering of objects.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently.
  • Communicating with customers and shop personnel.
  • Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus.

Pay

Up to $150,000 per year, varying based on experience (Flag Pay).
