About the Role
As a Lead Automotive Technician, you will diagnose complex vehicle issues, mentor junior technicians, and ensure high-quality repairs and efficiency. You will function as a technical leader, overseeing workflows, upholding safety standards, and often working directly with customers to explain repairs.
Schedule
7am–4pm (position may require evening or overnight shifts)
Pay
$35/hour (guaranteed 30+ hours, not flat rate)

Responsibilities
- Mentor technicians, provide guidance on complex diagnostics/repairs (engines, brakes, HVAC), and ensure quality assurance
- Manage daily/weekly schedules, assign tasks, and monitor repair progress to meet deadlines
- Perform hands-on, high-quality maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and electrical troubleshooting
- Oversee inventory, manage parts ordering, and handle payroll for the team
- Maintain a clean, organized, OSHA-compliant, and safe working environment
Requirements
- 5 years previous experience as an automotive mechanic, with a preference for fleet or commercial experience
- Proven capability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team
- Ability to work in varying, often extreme, temperature conditions (hot/cold), and lift up to 50 pounds
