A timeless test of golf… Forest Hills Country Club is the former site of the LPGA Heartland Classic and the LPGA Michelob Light Classic. The Championship 18-hole course was originally developed by Chick Adams who strategically placed bunkers and hazards throughout the gently rolling terrain. This course offers a challenge to all skill levels from six sets of tee boxes with greens that are undulating and well protected. The course is tight and rewards accurate shots off the tees but will be challenging as it is well protected with hazards, trees, and out of bounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily golf course maintenance operations and crew assignments.
• Assist the Director of Agronomy with planning, scheduling, and prioritizing maintenance activities.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Monitor turfgrass health and assist with fertility, irrigation, and integrated pest management programs.
• Assist with irrigation system scheduling, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure the golf course is properly prepared for daily play, tournaments, outings, and special events.
• Operate and maintain golf course equipment as needed.
• Assist with construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical applications, and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with Director of Agronomy to develop annual operating and capital budgets.
• Assist with developing annual chemical and fertilizer programs.
• Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Director of Agronomy.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management or a related field preferred.
• Three or more years of golf course maintenance experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of turfgrass management practices, irrigation systems, and golf course equipment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a state pesticide applicator license.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
