About the Role
The Lead Artist will serve as an example to all other technicians by providing best-in-class services in their technical domain to LifeSpa Members and Guests. They will hire and coach the LifeSpa team to ensure financial success while managing operational duties such as inventory, ordering, scheduling, and labor management.
Responsibilities
- Lead from the front by greeting guests and ensuring their comfort throughout their LifeSpa experience.
- Deliver uncompromising technical services and serve as an expert in beauty analysis and maintenance regimens.
- Drive LifeSpa service and retail education within the Life Time ecosystem.
- Act as a positive role model to create a happy work environment for all team members.
- Staff and recruit talent while optimizing schedules.
- Place and receive orders and complete weekly inventory.
- Manage hourly and commissioned team member payroll.
- Host monthly team member meetings and weekly one-on-one meetings.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to perform minor lifting.
- Strong professional presentation, technical ability, and relationship-building skills.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 5 or more years of technical experience.
- Appropriate State/County/City licenses.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of Salon/Spa leadership experience.
- Hair technician experience preferred.
Pay
This position is commission-based, determined by the Team Member's personal productivity, and eligible for incentive pay based on department performance. The weekly minimum pay is the applicable minimum wage per hour.
