About the Role

Trewon is seeking a Lead Architecture Technician to support our Federal Government client. The Lead Architecture Technician functions as the technical lead for solution architecture development, working closely with system engineers and engineering teams to analyze requirements, develop enterprise and solution architectures, and document system interactions. The role involves collaborating with Government personnel, leading a small team, managing performance, and overseeing architecture development activities while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, documentation requirements, and established enterprise architecture processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture development by working closely with system engineers and engineering teams to analyze requirements and develop enterprise and solution architectures.
  • Review requirements, engineering drawings, engineering standards, technical and logistic documentation, and technical and training manuals to derive solution architectures for system engineer review.
  • Participate in team meetings and discussions to elicit data collection and identify potential requirements, attributes, and system interactions.
  • Capture draft architectures in working documents, document in Cameo for enterprise integration and report generation, and baseline upon approval by the proper authority.
  • Engage in one-on-one discussions (in-person and remote), attend regularly scheduled team meetings, and follow up via telephone/email as required.
  • Lead a small team, collaborate with Government personnel, and manage performance while ensuring compliance with architecture development processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience developing, analyzing, and managing architecture.
  • At least 2 years of experience using System Architect.
  • Proficient writing skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to develop, format, proof, edit/revise, produce, and publish Requirements and/or Enterprise Architecture (EA) documents in compliance with cited standards.
  • Proficiency in standard workstations and software (Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Zip Files, and Adobe Acrobat Pro).
  • Ability to attend on-site meetings in-person.
  • Technical degree with at least 2 years of experience in Requirements and/or EA development, analysis, management, and/or documentation.
  • Ability to travel to Government sites for meetings.
  • Must have and maintain a U.S. government SECRET security clearance.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or higher degree; applicable major preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant duties.

Schedule

  • Fully onsite, five days per week.
  • Core working hours: 9 AM – 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Mandatory 30-minute meal break.
  • Variance in hours may be granted based on client (government or prime contractor) flow-down specifications, upon employer application.

Clearance required: Must have and maintain a U.S. government SECRET security clearance.
