Responsibilities
- Lead a team of onshore and offshore engineers through design, development, code reviews, releases, and production support of .NET applications.
- Lead large software initiatives from ideation through delivery, deployment, and post production stabilization.
- Play a critical role in architecture, design, and technical decision making, with a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Write well designed, well tested, readable, and maintainable code aligned with enterprise standards.
- Participate in and lead code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
- Improve adherence to coding standards, test practices, secure coding techniques, and architectural guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership for production support, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and defect resolution.
- Ensure applications meet SLA requirements, including availability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with DevOps team to improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability.
- Lead and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventative measures.
- Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalability improvements in production environments.
- Support regular, high-quality releases, including post release validation and production readiness reviews.
- Participate in afterhours support for deployments and critical incidents.
- Drive AI-enabled operational capabilities to advance our broader goals of operational maturity, resilience, and intelligent automation.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with App dev, PMO, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to:
- Define and maintain a technically feasible roadmap
- Scope, design, and deliver solutions addressing business and operational needs
- Balance feature delivery with stability and supportability
- Build strong relationships across teams, ensuring transparent communication during delivery and production incidents.
- People & Process Leadership: Mentor and coach engineers, with focus on production ownership, operational awareness, and engineering maturity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Champion Agile best practices, including CI/CD, test driven development, and continuous improvement of delivery and support processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of proven success as a Technical Lead supporting applications from build through production support.
- 8+ years of experience with Microsoft stack technologies: .NET / .NET Core, C#, Visual Studio, Entity Framework, SQL Server
- Front end technologies: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Angular (v18), React (v16)
- Cloud & DevOps: Azure services (Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, etc.) or equivalent, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong experience building component based, responsive web applications.
- Experience supporting enterprise scale production systems, preferably in regulated industries (Healthcare preferred).
- Experience with: Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), transactional databases and caching strategies, Test driven development, unit/integration testing, Public and internal APIs, integration frameworks, Microservices and event driven architectures, Performance tuning and troubleshooting production systems, Secure software development practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead incident resolution and influence without authority.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong balance of technical depth, operational mindset, and business priorities.
