Responsibilities
- Participate as a key member of an Agile team, contributing to the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise application releases
- Manage and coordinate daily development activities to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of mission-critical systems
- Oversee Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities, including defect resolution, enhancements, system updates, and performance improvements
- Lead release planning, execution, and deployment activities across UAT and production environments
- Ensure applications meet IRS testing procedures and performance validation requirements
- Serve as the primary technical liaison to Government Program Managers, stakeholders, and executive leadership
- Ensure solutions adhere to federal compliance, security, and architectural standards
- Provide technical oversight and mentor junior developers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and system scalability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer in enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Technical Lead or Task Lead on federal IT programs
- Strong proficiency in: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, SQL Server (T-SQL, database design, administration), Web technologies (HTML, XML, JavaScript)
- Experience working within Agile development environments and modern SDLC practices
- Strong understanding of release management, testing, and deployment processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience ensuring compliance with federal testing and performance standards (e.g., IRS guidelines)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Background Investigation (Public Trust or higher)
- Must be a US Citizen
