About the role

The Primary Care Lead Advanced Practice Provider supports the functions performed by within the Primary Care in support of program objectives and goals. This position ensures the Advanced Practice Providers follow the processes and procedures to support the Primary Care operations.

Responsibilities

• Supports recruitment, orientation, continuous education, and annual evaluations of the advanced practice providers working all of the Primary Care sites.
• Organizes and oversees the APP chart review process and conducts periodic chart reviews as needed.
• Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to address concerns related to advanced practice provider performance, including the review of patient complaints that pertain to APPs.
• Responsible for positive group culture and ensuring high quality, efficient, and patient-friendly care for Primary Care at all AtlantiCare locations.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree in nursing or current multi-state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey, or current multi-state license as a Physician Assistant.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license required and certified by the State Board of Nursing. Certification within area of specialty required and granted privileges from Atlantic City Medical Center medical staff. NRNNP,C or RNCNS,C registry unencumbered. BLSHCP required. Geriatric or Palliative Care Certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years experience required in business operations/environment. Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required. Proficiency with computer applications required. Excellent planning, execution skills, and ability to manage multiple projects required.

Work Environment

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the practice environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to the Primary Care Chief Medical Officer and is accountable to this individual for peer review and clinical quality.
• Works collaboratively with the Assistant Vice President for Primary Care and Primary Care practice leadership.
