About the role

In this role you will develop and execute the Vulnerability Management AI strategy and roadmap, aligning initiatives with organizational cybersecurity objectives, CTEM adoption, and risk reduction goals.

  • Provide thought leadership on the application of AI within Vulnerability Management, identifying innovative opportunities to improve security outcomes, operational efficiency, and decision-making
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and industry best practices to advance the organization's CTEM and exposure management capabilities
  • Design, develop, and implement AI-enabled solutions that enhance vulnerability discovery, prioritization, remediation, and reporting processes
  • Develop intelligent automation capabilities to streamline vulnerability triage, assignment, validation, exception handling, and reporting activities
  • Build and automate integrations with ServiceNow CMDB, Vulnerability Response Module and other enterprise data sources to correlate, enrich, and deduplicate findings across multiple vulnerability assessment platforms
  • Leverage threat intelligence, exploitability data, asset criticality, attack path analysis, and business context to strengthen risk-based vulnerability prioritization and remediation decision-making
  • Develop AI-driven recommendations and predictive analytics to improve remediation planning, vulnerability forecasting, and exposure management
  • Enhance visibility across vulnerability, asset, threat, configuration, and operational data sources to enable a holistic view of cyber risk
  • Collaborate with SOC, Threat Intelligence, Asset Management, Infrastructure, Engineering, and Application teams to embed AI-driven insights into operational processes and security workflows
  • Influence and guide stakeholders across security and technology teams to drive adoption of AI-enabled capabilities, promote process transformation, and establish best practices
  • Define and track success metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in vulnerability remediation effectiveness, operational efficiency, and Security Patching KPI performance
  • Support the evolution and operationalization of the organization's Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) program and associated reporting capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Strong experience in Vulnerability Management, Attack Surface Management, Security Operations, Exposure Management, or Cybersecurity Risk Management
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and management platforms such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR), or equivalent solutions
  • Experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), predictive analytics, or data science techniques to cybersecurity use cases
  • Knowledge of Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), threat intelligence, exploit prediction, attack path analysis, and risk-based vulnerability management methodologies
  • Strong understanding of CMDB, asset management, configuration management, and security data integration concepts
  • Experience developing or supporting security automation, workflow orchestration, API integrations, and data pipelines across security platforms
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and innovation skills, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive transformational initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive adoption across security, engineering, and technology teams
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment

Pay

The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position in Virginia is $121,564.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $225,762.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance.
