Lead AI Engineer

About the Role

We're working with a leading global risk intelligence firm that's at the forefront of identifying and alerting customers to emerging risks in real time using advanced AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable AI systems that identify and alert customers to emerging risks
• Lead the design and deployment of production-grade AI platforms combining structured/unstructured data, retrieval systems, orchestration, and large language models
• Provide technical leadership across AI engineering initiatives, defining system architecture and long-term platform strategy
• Lead production deployment and lifecycle management of LLM applications across cloud platforms
• Drive system design decisions for distributed AI services, real-time processing, and high-throughput data pipelines
• Establish best practices for AI engineering, MLOps, testing, deployment, monitoring, and model governance

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience building production-grade machine learning, AI, or distributed backend systems
• Strong experience designing scalable AI platforms and LLM-powered applications in production environments
• Deep expertise with GenAI systems, including LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and inference optimization
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience handling large-scale and real-time data processing workloads
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating LLMs using cloud-native AI tooling and platforms
