About the role

The Van Drunen Family of Companies is growing! Shift: Monday-Friday 3PM - 1130PM and Mandatory OT on Saturday 3PM - 1130PM
Expected Pay Range: $24.25 $27.13
Bonus: This role may further qualify for supplemental compensation in the form of bonus and incentive programs, contingent upon achieving pre-established individual and company performance metrics.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and guide a third-shift production team, setting work plans, preparing for each shift, and filling in for the supervisor as needed.
  • Oversee food production activities across multiple processing areas to ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met.
  • Coach, train, and support team members, ensuring compliance with GMPs, SOPs, safety protocols, and attendance expectations.
  • Ensure efficient equipment setup, operation, and readiness while coordinating with other departments to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Perform and verify CCP checks, LOTO procedures, sanitation activities, and required documentation.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, support shift change communication, and help meet production goals through effective decision-making and teamwork.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least two years of production experience, with prior team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of food manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of Excel, ERP systems, email, and data entry.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, lead by example, and address performance or operational issues effectively.
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail to track inventory, weights, and production data.
  • Forklift experience preferred, with certification and training provided as needed.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push or pull sizeable equipment and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment including respirators, hearing protection, eye protection, and head protection.
  • Work in environments that may be dusty, cold, hot, humid, wet, loud, or outdoors depending on assignment.
  • Primarily production-based work with minimal administrative duties, and the ability to meet all physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
