Lead Advisor, Chicago - KAR
Job Description
Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management is seeking a Lead Advisor for their Southeast region. The Lead Advisor will collaborate with the Managing Director, Business Development Officer to develop and manage client relationships, often through custodian referral programs. Responsibilities include creating investment proposals, providing financial planning advice, and conducting regular portfolio reviews.
Job Duties
- Partner with the BDO to support new business development opportunities by attending prospective client meetings and events sponsored by custodian partners.
- Develop strategies to enhance client satisfaction and facilitate referrals and additional funding from existing clients.
- Prepare and present customized investment proposals, coordinating with the BDO and using eMoney financial planning platform and other tools.
- Offer financial planning advice and utilize the eMoney financial planning platform to assist clients with their financial planning needs.
- Provide comprehensive wealth management services, focusing on personalized service and attention to individual financial goals and needs.
- Offer investment advisory services, including asset allocation and investment solution recommendations.
- Conduct regular client portfolio review meetings and maintain open communication with clients.
Ideal Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a finance or economics background.
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on wealth advisory client service.
- Experience in financial planning and wealth management, along with strong judgment and communication skills.
- An articulate, confident, and driven professional with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Unimpeachable ethical standards and a strong work ethic.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written, with strong presentation skills.
- Able to establish priorities and meet goals effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft operating platform, eMoney financial planning platform, and Salesforce CRM platform.
- Series 65 or 66 certification (or CFP or CFA, which can waive the Series 65 or 66 requirement).
Pay and Benefits
The starting salary is $120,000 to $150,000, with variable compensation. The salary varies based on education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and market data.
