LC-MS Associate Scientist/Senior Scientist

About the role

These are Associate Scientist and Senior Scientist roles in the Bioanalytical Group focused on developing, qualifying, and validating bioanalytical methods, as well as analyzing small and large molecules in various biological matrices. Job title and compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s credentials.

Responsibilities

• Work as a bench scientist to support the Principal Investigator on client projects, ensuring data quality and adherence to timelines.
• For the Senior Scientist role: take ownership of client projects, including data quality, timelines, and communications, while mentoring and collaborating with associates.
• Perform method development and troubleshooting of bioanalytical assays and advanced instrumentation with minimal supervision.
• Conduct extraction and/or analysis of drugs or biomarkers from biological matrix samples for discovery and development projects.
• Write SOPs and study reports.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD with 0–5 years of experience in discovery and/or GLP bioanalysis laboratories.
• Experience with analytical instruments and experimental design procedures is preferred.
• Experience with bioanalysis of small molecules, peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides is preferred.
• Experience working in GLP laboratories is preferred.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with the following instruments and software is preferred:
  • Sciex Triple Quadrupole Mass Spec with Analyst software
  • Thermo Orbitrap Mass Spec with Xcalibur software
  • Thermo Watson LIMS software
  • Ligand-Binding assays
  • Hybridization LC-Fluorescence assays
  • RT-qPCR
