About the role

The LC/MS application scientist team has been instrumental in developing innovative applications and workflow solutions for food safety and environmental analyses, particularly in PFAS. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of Agilent’s mass spec platforms, enhancing customer productivity and analysis efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work with R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams to define and execute end-to-end workflow development scopes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with industry influencers and key customers to understand and address their needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify gaps between customer needs and product offerings.
  • Create new workflow solution products that meet customer needs and resolve pain points.
  • Expand the LC/MS business and scientific breadth through publications, presentations, seminars, and roadshows.

Requirements

  • Masters in analytical chemistry or biochemistry
  • 8+ years of industry experience in application development and customer support
  • Extensive experience using LC/HRAM and LC-Triple Quadrupole instruments and associated software suite
  • Customized quantitation and reporting capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address complex challenges
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer applications and the capability to design solutions
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Mentoring and training experience is highly desired

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience using LC/HRAM and LC-Triple Quadrupole instruments and associated software suite
  • Proven track record of technical knowledge and business understanding

Agilent Technologies, Inc. offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a full-time weekly schedule, a full-time equivalent pay range of $156,288.00 - $244,200.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.
