Our Lawn technicians specialize in numerous facets of lawn care including fertilization, weed and pest control, as well as aeration and seeding. We take pride in helping residential and commercial properties throughout Ohio look and feel their best. Our team combines years of experience with a passion for lawn care to deliver results that keep lawns healthy and safe throughout every season. We make it a point to treat our customers' properties like our own and ensure that the end result not only meets but exceeds their expectations.

The ideal candidate is someone who is committed to interacting with our customers to understand their wants and needs for their lawn and actively suggest services to help achieve those desires. The ideal candidate should be willing to understand the importance of being environmentally responsible when using various lawn treatments and willing to expand their knowledge within the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform lawn aerations, overseeding and phosphorus applications using ride on and walking equipment.
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and other lawn treatments using proper equipment and techniques.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and answer basic service questions.
  • Explain Lawn Squad programs and recommend additional services when appropriate.
  • Complete service calls following company procedures.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized vehicles and equipment.
  • Document treatments and stay in communication with customers to help prevent lawn issues.
  • Coordinate with branch staff as needed to support customer needs.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that qualifies for company vehicle use.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable and able to meet daily customer and route expectations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during the day to load fertilizer into the equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors, in extreme temperatures as well as wet and humid environments.
  • Use proper safety equipment and measures when working with chemical hazards and conditions including fumes, odors, dusts, gases, and/or poor ventilation.
  • Ability to climb, walk, crouch, stand, balance, reach, grasp, pull, lift, see, hear, and operate tools and vehicles.
