Law School Internship Program

About the Program

We typically accept 2 to 3 law school interns per office location each year, though the number varies based on the firm’s needs. We welcome 1Ls as well as students at other stages of their legal education.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience
• Academic success
• Breadth of personal experience
• Strong interest in litigation

Responsibilities

• Receive meaningful work across the firm’s practice areas to explore different fields of law
• Participate in negotiation sessions, client conferences, depositions, and trials (when available)
• Assist with administrative aspects of legal practice, including procedures, file organization, record reviews, and case presentations
• Draft settlement demands on assigned files under the supervision of an attorney mentor

Mentorship & Feedback

• Each intern is assigned a mentor who provides guidance and ensures challenging assignments
• Receive direct feedback on work from attorneys and performance reviews from mentors

Social & Networking Activities

• Firm outings (e.g., baseball games in the firm’s luxury suite, professional hockey games at the XL Center)
• Annual year-end holiday parties at themed restaurants or pubs
• Informal gatherings at local fine restaurants
• Networking opportunities throughout the year

Future Opportunities

• Exceptional interns may be offered an associate attorney position upon graduation and passing the bar exam
• Letters of recommendation to support future employment in the legal field
