Position Summary
The Law Enforcement Sales Associate is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with law enforcement and public safety clients. This role involves proactive prospecting, sales presentations, and closing deals with agencies seeking advanced simulation training solutions. Candidates must have a strong understanding of law enforcement environments, ideally with direct experience in a federal agency (e.g., DEA, DHS, etc.). As a key representative of Laser Shot, you’ll demonstrate expertise in our products and serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing solutions that meet their training goals while driving company revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the law enforcement sector.
- Qualify leads and manage them through the entire sales cycle—from initial contact to post-sale support.
- Close weekly virtual product demonstrations through targeted outreach and strategic follow-ups.
- Conduct on-site visits and attend trade shows to promote company offerings.
- Customer Engagement & Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and agencies.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and training officers.
- Develop customized training proposals that align with agency goals and budgets.
- Respond quickly and effectively to customer concerns and technical questions.
- Team Communication & Coordination
- Collaborate with the Sales Director, Sales Support, and Production teams to ensure client satisfaction and goal alignment.
- Provide weekly activity updates and after-action reports.
- Adhere to internal processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales operations.
- Training ROI & Industry Knowledge
- Clearly articulate the return on investment (ROI) of simulation-based training compared to live-fire methods.
- Demonstrate knowledge of firearm safety, use-of-force training, and law enforcement training needs.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and simulation technology advancements.
- Actively participate in cross-training initiatives with internal teams.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 8–10 years of sales experience, ideally in B2G (business-to-government) or law enforcement-related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a results-driven sales mindset.
- Ability to travel 50–65% of the time as needed for client meetings, demos, and events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement (e.g., Peace Officer, Federal Agency).
- Experience in the simulation or tactical training industry.
- Certified firearms instructor or background in small arms training is a plus.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving and technical learning ability.
