About the Role

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time or part-time Laundry Worker to join our team at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will operate large commercial washers and dryers according to safety standards and collaborate with team members.

Pay

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Office Coordinator or Laundry Supervisor regarding Housemen needs for linens for the floors and cottage
• Operate and tend machines including washing and drying articles, such as sheets, draperies, linens, and carpets, ensuring the correct volume of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives are used as needed
• Sort, count, and put away articles removed from dryers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laundry closet
• Inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stains, locate color imperfections, and identify items requiring special treatment
• Iron or press articles, fabrics, banquet linens, napkins, and spa linen using hand irons or pressing machines
• Record all loads washed and dried to calculate productivity, including loss of linens due to stains, tears, and wear

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work effectively with others in fast-paced environments, using effective communication skills with guests and team members
• Basic math skills
• Laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location is beneficial
• No experience or diploma required

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to varying temperatures depending on weather and how many machines are in operation at any given time
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, and lifting during shifts
